EYEBROW TREATMENTS
The eyebrow treatments I offer are great for a number of different clients... those looking to thicken and define their natural brows, or those who have very sparse or no hair at all. If your brows are patchy, thin, over-plucked or just not how you'd like them, no matter what shape, size or condition your current eyebrows are in, we can create the eyebrows you have always dreamed of! Eyebrows can be created from nothing with the different brow styles and techniques I offer.
How semi-permanent / permanent is it?
Semi-permanent means it will fade over time, and that if you want to keep your brows looking vibrant, top up appointments will be needed to maintain this look. Semi-permanent DOES NOT mean it will 100% fade away. You may always be left with remnants of ink under your skin, even 10 years from now. Everyone's bodies will process the ink differently, as well as your lifestyle choices affecting the longevity of the tattoo. Cosmetic tattooing is still a tattoo, so before anyone tells you any differently, please bare in mind that whether or not you refresh your eyebrows annually, you may still be left with a shadow if you don't wish to continue with annual top ups.

ADVICE AND TIPS FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT
- Ensure you have read all of the aftercare instructions and be certain you can follow them before booking an appointment.
- Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment - the first session will last around 3 - 3.5 hours and you will be lay down for most of this.
- If you're feeling particularly nervous, bring music with you that you find relaxing.
- If wearing make up to your appointment, bring make up with you to reapply after your treatment as a lot of it will be wiped off.
- Your brow area may look sensitive after your session so please bare this in mind if you have plans the same day.
- Ask as many questions as you want - no question is a silly question!
TOP UPS
Healing is specific to each client and it’s important to realise that you’ll need a colour boost every 9 / 12 / 18 / 24 months to maintain the vibrancy of your eyebrows depending on your skin type and lifestyle. Permanent makeup is an art, not a science, and is an enhancement to your natural brows. Your results will vary and brow products may still be needed, especially when wearing make up. This is not necessarily a no maintenance treatment, but a low maintenance treatment. No two sides of the face are the same or perfectly symmetrical and whilst trying to obtain perfect symmetry is my goal, nothing is guaranteed or 100% perfect. Cosmetic tattooing is generally softer and less solid than a body tattoo as we are trying to keep it lighter and more natural. Specially formulated cosmetic inks that can break down over time are used, as over the years this ages better and allows for changes. This, combined with the fact that faces are generally oilier than other parts of the body, and that faces are usually more exposed to UV rays, environmental pollutants, products such as make up, cleansers & exfoliants, is why top ups are required over the years.

CONTRAINDICATIONS - IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING APPLY, YOU'RE NOT ABLE TO HAVE A BROW TATTOO TREATMENT
- If you are a hemophiliac.
- If you are under 18 years old - even with parental consent it is illegal in the UK to tattoo someone under the age of 18.
- If you are pregnant or breast feeding. Anything you put into your body can be passed onto your baby and opening your skin can result in heightened risk of infection. Pregnancy hormones can also affect the healed result so it's best to wait a couple of months post birth.
- If you have capillaries close to the surface of the skin - you will be more likely to bleed and your results can blow out.
- If you have active skin cancer, any skin diseases, symptoms, irritation, or inflammation at the time of treatment. Your skin needs to be healthy at your appointment.
- If you are prone to or have hypo/hyper pigmentation.
- If you have a problem with healing or keloid scarring in the area or have a tendency to keloid scar.
- If you are taking any blood thinning medications or Omega 3 fish oil and Vitamin E supplements.
- If you are diabetic and it is not under control. If you are taking medication to control diabetes, a doctors note may be required.
- If you have high blood pressure and it is not under control. If you are taking medication to control your blood pressure, a doctors note may be required.
- Clients unable to take a break from exercise are not suitable candidates. The aftercare requires you to stop any vigorous exercise for at least the first 7-14 days.

REASONS FOR PREMATURE FADING
Not using sun protection / Frequent vigorous exercising & sweating / Oily skin / Fast metabolism / Iron deficiency / Hypo/erthyroidism / Hormone replacement medications / Other daily medications / Smoking / Sunbeds & sunbathing / Chemical peels / Excessive exfoliating / Harsh cleansers / Anti aging creams & retinols... the chemicals in these can also react with your brows and fade them to warmer tones. It is best to go around your brow area, not on top of them.
YOU CAN HAVE A BROW TATTOO BUT MUST WAIT IF...
- You've recently had a chemical peel / intense skin treatment. You must 2-3 weeks for your skin to settle down.
- You've recently had Botox. You must wait 4 weeks before having a brow tattoo to allow the Botox to settle.
- You're using Accutane, Isotretinoin, or other strong retinoids. You need to be off this kind of medication for 1 year.
- You're undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Your treatments should have finished prior to your appointment and can only be done with a doctor's note.
